About Me
I grew up in a secular home, raised by a single mother with 4 children who tried her best to make ends meet. I witnessed many harmful behaviors that I thought were just normal parts of life as a child. From drinking, to drug abuse, anger issues, the list goes on and on. Naturally, I modeled myself after these poor examples that I grew up around, and found myself coming into adulthood not at all satisfied with the person I was becoming.
It wasn’t until someone I was very close to encouraged me to start coming to church that things started to change for me. I came to realize that dealing with all my problems on my own was not working for me anymore. I realized that I was completely overwhelmed by my life’s circumstances and that I needed help from somewhere outside of myself. I decided to open myself up to putting my faith in Jesus and that decision changed everything for me. It birthed in me a desire to help as many people as I can to experience the same freedom that I received. Freedom from the grip of anxiety, depression, and anything else that tries to take over my life.
Shortly after that, I enrolled in a ministry college where I had the opportunity to train at one of the largest churches in America. I have earned certificates in Ministry Leadership and Traumatic Stress Studies, became a Board Certified Mental Health Coach, and completed an internship at a major church counseling center. I believe that God has chosen my path carefully and equipped me to aid others in their journey, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to minister alongside Freedom Path Counseling.
